Development of Ca Mau city into Integrated and specialized center of the mekong delta region

Abstract

Ca Mau has the advantage of being located in a geostrategic location - the center of the waters of Southeast Asian countries; located on the southern economic development corridor of the
expanded Mekong sub-region development cooperation program . According to Decision No. 287/QD-TTg dated February 28, 2022 of the Prime Minister approving the Mekong Delta region planning period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, Ca Mau city is identified as one of 7 specialized and integrated centers of the coastal sub-region in the Ca Mau peninsula area;
is the national energy and oil and gas service center, ecotourism service center, and regional seafood processing center. The article focuses on analyzing, synthesizing and proposing solutions to build Ca Mau city into a specialized and integrated center of the Mekong Delta region.
