Subdivision of the engineering foundation structures in Hung Yen Province for road construction

Abstract

The planning of Hung Yen province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister, has identified the development of transportation infrastructure as a priority focus, being one of the three strategic breakthrough areas for the construction and development of the province. The transportation system within the province has also been adjusted in a relatively synchronized manner. Geological survey results indicate that soft soil is present everywhere, and it can be said that almost the entire foundation soil of Hung Yen province consists of
soft ground. Therefore, this paper presents the subdivision and evaluation of the engineering foundation structures in Hung Yen province to provide scientific grounds for the rational planning of the transportation system and serve as a basis for the selection, calculation, and design of road construction solutions on soft ground.
