Flooding management in some cities in the world - Solutions and lessons learned

Abstract

Urban flooding is an issue of increasing concern to many people. Flooding seriously affects production, daily life and people's lives, damaging construction projects, destroying technical infrastructure, stopping traffic, and causing environmental pollution. school... Many countries around the world have been having quite effective solutions to prevent, combat and mitigate urban flooding, which are technical/structural solutions combined with non-structural solutions.... This article summarizes and analyzes some basic solutions for flood management that have been applied to some typical urban areas in some countries around the world, thereby drawing some lessons and recommendations for Vietnam.
