Exploiting water elements in urban spatial organization in Thu Duc city
Abstract
Thu Duc City, positioned as a highly interactive and creative urban area, boasts a dense river system surrounded by two main river systems, the Dong Nai River and the Saigon River. The water element is considered one of the advantages that should be utilized and promoted in the urban spatial planning process here. This article focuses on analyzing and evaluating the potentials and advantages, as well as recognizing the challenges in exploiting water elements to create green, creative, and environmentally friendly urban spaces for the city. Proposed solutions and strategies aim to optimize the use of water elements, from constructing landscape projects to managing and protecting water resources. Additionally, the article emphasizes the importance of
integrating water elements with urban spaces to create a sustainable and attractive living environment for the community.
