Abstract

This study aims to estimate the change in compressive strength of concrete when they are in high temperature environment condition with different durations ( 0.5h, 1.0h, and 1.5h) but dramatically are cooled by water to room temperature. The study used conventional concrete with 250 grade concrete which is common in pratical construction projects. The experimental results reveals that the compressive strength of 250 grade concrete clearly decreases as exposed to temperature of above 400oC as well as a longer exposure duration.
