Study on several factors affecting the behavior of multi-span deep beams using ABAQUS
Abstract
Continuous deep beams are a commonly used structural system in construction. The behavior of deep beams differs significantly from that of conventional beams. This paper presents a study on several factors affecting the behavior of continuous reinforced concrete deep beams, such as the span length-to-depth ratio, concrete compressive strength, and the amount of longitudinal and transverse reinforcement. The author analyzes research models using the ABAQUS simulation software. The reliability of the analytical results is verified by comparing them with experimental results. The study findings indicate that after cracking occurs, the behavior of continuous deep beams becomes relatively
complex, and several recommendations are provided regarding the influence of the investigated parameters.
