Strengthening government management in the Sustainable development of New rural Areas in the Northern mountainous region

Abstract

New rural area development is a significant policy of the Party and the State, including rural mountainous areas in general and, specifically, the Northern mountainous region. To realize this policy, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 318/QĐ-TTg on March 8, 2022, promulgating the national criteria for new rural communes and the national criteria for advanced new rural communes for the 2021-2025 period; Decision No. 150/QĐ-TTg dated January 28, 2022, approving the Strategy for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development for the 2021-2030 period with a vision towards 2050. Although sustainable new rural development in the Northern mountainous region has achieved certain results, it also faces numerous difficulties due to subjective and objective reasons. This situation requires enhanced Government management efforts to overcome existing difficulties and shortcomings.
