Review on sustainable development housing policies for Ethnic minorities and the lessons for The Northern mountain regions of Vietnam

Abstract

Nowadays, under the impact of urbanization and economic development, traditional housing of ethnic minorities in the Northern mountainous are at risk of gradually fading away, even disappearing. This article analyzes the current status of housing architectural development, then pointing out existing problems. Through lessons learned from policies for sustainable development of traditional housing in some countries around the world, the authors have proposed the policies for sustainable development of ethnic minority housing in the Northern mountainous provinces.
