Evaluates foam concrete for application in backfilling foundation in civil construction
Abstract
The article evaluates foam concrete for application in backfilling foundation pits in civil construction, addressing the shortage of natural materials (sand, soil). It analyzes technical and environmental factors as well as the technical feasibility of this solution. Several field experiments were conducted to assess practical performance, including mechanical strength and dry bulk density. The experimental results indicate that foam concrete, when applied in real construction projects, experiences a reduction in mechanical strength but still meets the minimum strength requirements for backfill materials. These findings demonstrate the feasibility and practical value of the research.
