Preventing coastline from erosion with novel precast thin-walled fiber concrete blocks

Abstract

ABSTRACT:
In recent years, coastal erosion in our country has been increasingly complicated, tends to increase in both scope and severity, directly affecting people's lives and coastal infrastructure. To proactively prevent and mitigate harm, many attempts to preventing coastline from erosion have been made based on the application of advanced science and technology, combining traditional environmental-friendly solutions, with priority given to the application of new technology, low cost, easy to construct. In this paper, a new coastal protection technology solution with a novel thin-walled fiber concrete block is presented. Through a specific work, the author assesses the sustainable stability and efficiency when applying this new solution to coasts of similar nature.
