Abstract

ABSTRACT:

This paper presents the research results on workability, compressive strength, elastic modulus and durability in sulfate environment of concrete using recycled aggregate from waste glass to replace natural fine aggregate (sand). Accordingly, concrete mixtures are created by replacing sand by waste glass in the ratio of 100/0, 90/10, 80/20, 70/30 by weight and the ratio of water to cement is 0.5, 0.6, 0.7. The results show that concrete using recycled aggregate from waste glass has reduced workability. Nevertheless, compressive strength, static modulus and durability are significantly improved compared with conventional concrete when aggregate replacement ratio and water use are appropriate.
