Management and development of Phu Quoc tourism real estate
Abstract
Since 2004, Phu Quoc has had a consistently high economic growth rate (19.59%/year), which is stable and sustainable; Most socio-economic indicators increased, raising Phu Quoc's GRDP contribution rate to Kien Giang province's GRDP in 2021 to 69.1%. Geographical advantages and traffic connections; Rich tourist space, folk cultural elements, diverse customs and traditions have brought unique characteristics to tourist destinations; Besides, with the advantage of owning rich and diverse natural assets including beaches, forests, mountains and marine biological systems, Phu Quoc is oriented to become an important special economic zone of Vietnam. In that context, in the past five years, Tourism Real Estate in Phu Quoc has been developing strongly with more projects and products. However, tourism real estate development also has many shortcomings such as: the development speed is not compatible with the technical infrastructure; Planning and planning management have not kept up with construction investment needs; Tourism real estate development is not associated with effective land exploitation and environmental protection.
Besides, many projects are slow to be implemented, construction, exploitation and operation management still have many shortcomings.
