Applying technology to digitalize valuable architectural buildings that need to be preserved, employed and protected in Hai Phong City

Abstract

World practical experience shows that to effectively manage heritage structures in the operation, maintenance and repair according to regulations on heritage conservation, it is necessary to apply digital technologies. In Vietnam, promoting digital transformation to serve the activities of archiving, managing, researching, preserving, exploiting, promoting heritage, and promoting sustainable tourism development is also a common goal approved by the Prime Minister. Using methods of analyzing and synthesizing documents combined with surveying and evaluating the current status of management of valuable architectural works in Hai Phong city; combined with researching the experiences of countries around the world in digitizing architectural heritage, the article proposes solutions to apply technology to digitalize for managing valuable architectural works in Hai Phong city. The research results of the article are expected to be an objective and scientific basis for experts and relevant agencies for implementation in Hai Phong in particular and other localities across the country.
