Abstract
Drama is an important genre that made Luu Quang Vu famous. In addition to the 3 main topics (reform, war and daily life), he also has very special plays which themes are exploited from folk tales. The characters in these plays are constantly struggling with difficult ethical choices, especially when they are faced with two fundamental human issues: human nature and animal nature. By using the method of Ethical Literary Criticism to study this issue in the play “The King who became a tiger”, on the one hand, we wish to approach Luu Quang Vu's drama from a new perspective, on the other hand, we also want to introduce to our country's literary research community this relatively new method of criticism.
