INVESTIGATION OF PHYTOCHEMICAL FROM SEED OF DIALIUM COCHINCHINENSIS PIERRE

Abstract

Dialium cochinchinensis Pierre is a Vietnamese native plant that is widely used as a source of wood, food, and material in folk medicine. There have been relatively few reports of bio-effects on these subjects thus far. The phytochemical constituents of D. cochinchinensis seed were identified in this article. These constituents included alkaloids, coumarin, flavonoids, polyphenols, saponin, reducting sugar, cardiac glycoside, and polyuronid. Additionally, the polyphenols and flavonoids contents were determined using the Folin–Ciocalteu (F-C) and aluminum complexation reactions at concentrations of 15,58 ± 0,33 mg GAE/g and 26,49 ± 2,70 mg RUE/g (d.w).
