FORMULATION OF ALOE VERA MOISTURE GEL

Abstract

Aloe vera (Aloe vera L.) is a plant popularly used from ancient times to the present with many useful uses related to health protection and beauty care, clear aloe vera extract contains many vitamins, minerals and amin acids that work to prevent wrinkles, moisturize and anti-aging skin.With the desire to prepare environmentally friendly cosmetic products with natural extracts, the research has initially successfully prepared a gel containing aloe vera extract with ingredients including: aloe vera extract 35%; CAPB 5%; glycerine 3%; HEC 1%; ethanol 0.6%; allantoin 0.5%; sodium benzoate 0.4%; citric acid 0.01M 0.17%; TEA 0.13%; EDTA 0.1%; spice 0,05% and sufficient distilled water. The product has light yellow, physically visible, transparent, homogeneous without layering, pleasant aroma, reaches the quality standards applied to cosmetics. Concurrently, the product has a pH in the range of 4.5-6, safe for human skin when using.
