FORMULATION OF LIP BALM FROM BEETROOT EXTRACT

Abstract

The trend of using products with natural ingredients is gradually becoming popular in recent years. of natural origin. In particular, lip balm is a product that many people are interested and use. The lip balm product is prepared with moisturizing ingredients such as: beeswax, jojoba oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, vitamin E,... and creates lip blam color from beetroot extract. The purpose is to create a lip balm product with completely natural ingredients that ensures health safety, is environmentally friendly, meets the tastes of consumers and is suitable for the characteristics of Vietnamese users. The lip blam formula was built through a survey to evaluate the moisturizing ability of excipients including: excipients mixed with wax, excipients mixed with oil and colorant ratio. After that the complete formulations will be evaluated for sensory, pH, moisturizing ability, skin irritation, , infection limits and heavy metal limits. The topic has successfully researched and developed a moisturizing lipstick formula containing beetroot extract that meets the properties of cosmetics, has the potential to be developed into commercial products and is promising for further research.
