Abstract

Buddhist Doctrine is a fundamental element in many of Ho Anh Thai's works. They are naturally and reasonably applied, contributing to the success of his prose. Within the scope of this article, we focus on examining some of the author's notable short stories and novels to clarify how he constructs plots to convey the Buddhist doctrine of karma. Through the art of constructing multi-linear, non-linear plots, circular-reincarnation plots, and plots featuring mystical and supernatural elements, Ho Anh Thai not only reflects the Buddhist doctrine of karma in a natural and profound way but also helps affirm the role of literature as a medium for conveying humanistic philosophy to readers.
