Abstract

Currently, furniture manufacturing enterprises must reassess their production processes, optimize resource utilization, and improve operational efficiency to remain competitive. In this context, the application of improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing offers a practical solution to eliminate waste and enhance productivity. This study employed on-site observation, surveys of workers, managers, and the quality control department, along with secondary data analysis from the company's Lean line assessment report, to examine the current state of the production line at Tan Thanh Wood Joint Stock Company. The analysis identified key forms of waste, including line imbalance, unnecessary motions, excessive transportation, and prolonged waiting times. The findings suggest that these issues can be addressed through line balancing, layout redesign, and the implementation of 5S, thereby improving production efficiency and the overall working environment.
