Abstract
The paper presents study, design, and production of equipment for checking bottom corrosion of underground petroleum storage tanks by deformation magnetic flux method using Hall sensor. The purpose of design and production is to ensure safety at petroleum storage facilities. Preliminary results allow detecting the location of defects in carbon steel samples with a size of 40% of the thickness of the samples, but the limitation is that the size of successful defects has not been evaluated. This is the premise to continue researching and developing equipment for checking bottom corrosion of petroleum tanks at storage facilities and refineries in Vietnam.
