SURVEY GROWTH INDICATORS OF PHAN RANG SHEEP WHEN USING SILAGE FEED

Abstract
A study was carried out to investigate the effects of feeding some silage on the growth profiles of Phan Rang sheep. The research was conducted on sheep (4 months old) imported from Phan Rang and raised at the Livestock Biotechnology Center. The growth indicators of weight, length of body, and bust were investigated for 90 days using corn stalks, wheat residue and silage fake cashews. The results evaluated that, when using diets containing silage, sheep had normal growth rates. There was not statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group. Volume growth was highest when using silage fake cashews. Thus, farmers can take advantage of additional silage in sheep farming that help reduce livestock costs and limit environmental pollution from agricultural by-products.
