ROLE OF STAKEHOLDERS IN DEVELOPMENT AGRITOURISM IN CON CHIM, TRA VINH

Abstract

Con Chim is a small island in Hoa Minh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province, with a natural area of ​​60ha. Agritourism in Con Chim has been developing since September 2019 and has certain achievements. This study aims to analyze the role of stakeholders involved in the formation and development of agritourism in Con Chim, Tra Vinh. Field survey research method combined with depth interviews with stakeholders involved in agritourism in Con Chim and based on synthesis and analysis of secondary data are employed in this study. The results of the research reveal that in order for stakeholders to optimize their role in agritourism development, it is necessary to ensure a solid foundation according to the following factors: (1) close effective management of local government; (2) initially getting expert advices for the idea and community participating consent; (3) homonious coordination between local government, households, travel agencies and consultants.
