TOOLBOX DIALOGUE METHOD IN CROSS-DISCIPLINARY RESEARCH

Abstract

Transdisciplinary research and practice have been becoming a new knowledge production mode, differently from traditional research. The paper introduces a toolbox for inter- and transdisciplinary researchers, namely, “toolbox dialogue method”. This method should be as early as possible carried out in any collaborative project from different disciplinary researchers. It helps them to insightful aware implicit philosophical assumptions of their own discipline as well as the ones of other disciplines leading to build the epistemic platform for collaboration. The follow-up should be done during the implementation of the project to consolidate and further develop the common foundations needed for effective collaborative research and practice.
