Tran Thi NgH belongs to the group of Southern Vietnamese writers before 1975 with a unique writing style. The female writer's pen focuses on the image of women with hidden corners in their souls. Applying Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory, the article explores and interprets the complex psychology of female characters in the short stories of the female writer. By delving deep into the diverse inner lives through the writer's perspective on human beings, the article examines the female characters in the following aspects: female characters and the unconscious life, female characters and insecurities, female characters and obsessions, and female characters and sexual life.
