Abstract
The study aims to assess the current situation and propose solutions to improve the compensation and support process when the state acquires land in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province. Based on a survey of 120 households with land acquisitions and 25 officials involved in the compensation process, the research shows that compensation is carried out in accordance with regulations and is supported by the majority of residents. However, there are issues such as compensation rates not reflecting market value, ineffective support for livelihood stabilization and vocational training, and negative impacts on the environment and social security. The proposed solutions include policy adjustments, the establishment of a land database, improvements in vocational training, and enhanced legal communication on land laws.
