ASSESSMENT OF THE CURRENT STATUS OF LAND FUND DEVELOPMENT IN QUANG HOA DISTRICT, CAO BANG PROVINCE

Abstract

From 2021 to 2023, Quang Hoa district implemented land fund development, which partially met the requirements of the district’s socio-economic development. The district carried out 42 projects covering a total area of 94.25 hectares, involving 1,032 households. Of these, 32 projects, with an area of 26.63 hectares, have been handed over to investors, accounting for 28.25 per cent of the total project area. Among three factors of policy, financial and planning, factors of investment attraction policy, land price and planning for socio-economic development have most greatly impacted on land fund development in Quang Hoa district. There were 60.44 per cent and 46.15 per cent of respondents believed that cultural and spiritual life has improved, and infrastructure has become better, however, the land fund development has not provided job opportunities as expected by residents (23.08 per cent of respondents said that job opportunities remain unchanged). To enhance the land fund development, the district needs to implement comprehensive solutions regarding policy, finance, and planning.
