LAOS’ EXPERIENCE IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE BORDER REGIONS

Abstract

The study aims to identify investment issues in tourism development in the border regions of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The main contents focus on infrastructure investment, tourism product development, and international cooperation with other countries to both develop tourism and preserve the unique cultures of Laos. By analyzing these areas, the research identifies the opportunities, challenges, and constraints facing tourism in these regions. The findings are intended to inform discussions and propose solutions for the government, local communities, and relevant stakeholders to advance sustainable border and cross-border tourism development
