Solutions for sustainable development of the farm economy in Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province

Abstract

The research aims to find out solutions for sustainable development of farm economy in Gia Loc district, Hai Duong Province. Using socio-economic approach, the research team carried out the survey of 50 farms in Gia Loc district and consulted managers and officers at the provincial, district and commune levels. The survey results show that in the period 2018 - 2020, Gia Loc district had guidelines and implemented policies to encourage the development of the farm economy. Overall, the district's farm economy has increased in both size and quantity, but its development is not stable and sustainable. The research team has proposed solutions for sustainable development of the farm economy, contributed to the process of building a high-quality and efficient commodity agriculture in Gia Loc district in the coming period such as: (1) Checking and adjusting the planning on management and use of agricultural land; (2) Increasing investment in infrastructure; (3) Creating sources of capital mobilization for the economy; (4) Speeding up the review of farm titles; (5) Having policies to support and invest in science and technology; etc.
