Orientation of agricultural land use in Hong Thuan commune, Giao Thuy district, Nam Dinh province in the context of climate change

Abstract

The study uses primary and secondary data and focuses on analyzing the efficiency of crops, crop systems and some major land use types in Hong Thuan commune, Giao Thuy district. Research results show that the economic efficiency of agricultural land use of the commune is 194.49 million VND/ha on average, mixed income is 154.55 million VND; the value of a working day is 218.17 thousand VND. Many farmers believe that crop yields tend to decrease or decrease greatly because every year people have to face more and more severe weather phenomena. In order to contribute to improving the efficiency of agricultural land use in the context of climate change, it is necessary to arrange a reasonable cropping system and seasons; expand the market for agricultural products; manage pesticides and chemical fertilizers; improve the role of leaders, organizations of agricultural extension, communication, information and investment support.
