Abstract

This descriptive study examines the management of diabetic patients at health stations across Trà Vinh province, from early detection and treatment to prevention efforts. A survey of 106 health stations revealed that the majority have implemented diabetes management programs, with a 981% participation rate, yet the use of information technology and management software remains low. Training and preventive counseling activities are widespread, but there is a need for increased focus on areas facing more challenges. Screening and preventive services at the health stations have high rates, but there's a necessity to enhance communication efforts, especially with Khmer language materials for the ethnic minority community. The conclusion emphasizes the need to continue and strengthen management, training, and service provision for diabetic patients, particularly in areas with a significant Khmer population.
