Improving the capacity and effectiveness of maintaining the relationship between delegates and electors in Vietnam today

Abstract

In representative democracy, maintaining the relationship between the delegates and electors is a highly symbolic connection of the electors’ perception and beliefs about their being represented by an elected representative through elector meetings and other activities. The article clarifies current status of relationship between all- level National Assembly deputies, People’s Council deputies and electors as well as conditions to ensure that relationship.
