Proposals to complete criminal procedure law on the Court’s responsibility to prove crimes

Abstract

Vietnamese criminal procedure law prescribes that competent procedural authorities including Investigation agency, the Procuracy and the Court are held liable for proving crime. This has been effective in the fight against crime and has controlled the crime situation recently. However, facing the requirements for judicial reform and building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam with requests for innovation in criminal proceedings that litigation as a breakthrough and clearly defining procedural functions, it is neccesary to research to amend regulations on the Court’s responsibility to prove crimes.
