Abstract

Communication between Prosecutors and defense attorneys at first-instance criminal trial is a special type of communication because it must comply with legal regulations. For this communication process to be effect, Prosecutors must have basic communication skills such as argumentation skills, persuasive skills, active listening skills, and some others. In practice, the Prosecutors’ communication skills with defense attorneys at criminal trial still have certain limitations; therefore, it is necessary to have measures to improve Prosecutors’ communication skills with defense attorneys at criminal trials to ensure the quality of dialogue and debate.
