Abstract

The right of inheritance has long been recognized as one of the fundamental individual rights, reflecting the legal protection of asset transfer across generations and the continuity of ownership relationships. In the Vietnamese civil law system, property rights - with their prominent economic characteristics - play a central role in inheritance, serving both as the object of succession and as a source of complex legal disputes. The 2015 Civil Code has established a foundational legal framework to regulate the establishment, exercise and protection of inheritance rights concerning property rights.
