Abstract

The United Kingdom (UK) has been no Criminal Code. Criminal and penalties regulations are mainly prescribed in Statute Laws issued by House of Commons and legal precedents promulgated by Courts. The article outlines penalties’ concept and purpose in the UK and the system of penalties set forth in UK's criminal law.
