Abstract

Along with the judicial reform process, to ensure objectivity and transparency in the interrogation process, especially when Vietnam has joined the United Nations Convention against Torture since 2013, and recording by sound or sound-and-visual means during interrogation becomes a mandatory regulation from January 1, 2021. The article summarizes the process of implementing this regulation of some countries around the world; from that point out lessons learned and make some recommendations to improve the efficiency of recording by sound or sound-and-visual means in the future in Vietnam.
