Abstract
Academic pressure and the specialized knowledge load in Health Sciences can lead to challenges in maintaining a balance between study and personal life. Therefore, a descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 2024 on 506 full-time students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Nguyen Tat Thanh University to assess their quality of life and identify related demographic factors. The survey tool used was the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire – a shortened version developed by the World Health Organization, covering four domains: physical health, psychological well-being, social relationships, and environment. The results showed that the students' average quality of life score was 64.58; among the four domains, social relationships scored the highest (69.47), while physical health scored the lowest (61.16). Significant influencing factors included weekly physical activity time, the quality and duration of sleep, and frequency of participation in social activities (p < 0.05). In contrast, variables such as personal financial status, hometown, and current residence did not show any statistically significant correlation. The study emphasizes the necessity of implementing systematic interventions to improve the quality of life of pharmacy students.
