DEVELOPMENT OF GENERAL EDUCATION IN HA TINH PROVINCE – POLICY AND SOME RESULTS (2015 - 2020)

Abstract

In the Vietnamese education system, the general education is recognized as an educational level of special importance, both as a “hinge” and as a “backbone” of the education system. It aims to comprehensively develop learners in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, basic skills, personal capacity development, dynamism and creativity; prepare learners to continue studying in higher education, vocational education or to participate in labor, construction and defense of the Fatherland. In the period 2015 - 2020, on the basis of thoroughly grasping the Vietnamese Communist Party's guideline and applying it to the practice of the province, Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee province has focused on leading and directing the development of general education. By historical and logical methods, combined with methods of synthesis, statistics and comparison, the article highlights the policy and results achieved in the process of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee leading the development of general education. The research results confirm the correctness and creativity of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee in leading the development of general education. At the same time, the article points out some solutions to overcome the limitations in order to continue to develop general education in the future.
