SOLUTIONS TO INCREASE PROMOTION IN RURAL TOURISM IN VIETNAM

Rural tourism is playing an important role in the development of rural areas, helping rural people easily integrate with the outside world, creating many valuable products associated with cultural identity and agricultural production of many localities, thereby increasing income for the community. In Vietnam, the development of rural tourism in recent years has made certain achievements. However, the promotion of rural tourism has not been effectively implemented. Using survey results in localities with strong development of rural tourism such as Lai Chau (representing the Northwest region), Lam Dong (representing the Central Highlands region) and Dong Thap (representing the Western region), the article generalizes the status of rural tourism promotion from the perspective of tourism business households and tourists. The results showed that although there is great potential for rural tourism development, the promotion and advertising of destinations is still limited, not diverse methods. From there, the article also proposes some solutions to further promote rural tourism promotion activities in the context of new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period.
