APPLICATION OF DELPHI METHOD IN STRUCTURAL CONSTRUCTION MODELING COMPETENCIES IN STEM EDUCATION
Keywords:
Abstract
Developing appropriate assessment tools and measures to evaluate behavioral manifestations of students' modeling abilities not only indicates the results of science learning but also helps teachers and students see the results. Studies have shown that STEM lessons are a context for students to develop modeling abilities and through modeling, students gain an understanding of the natural world. Therefore, the research team implemented a systematic document review method and expert interview method to propose a structural framework for modeling competencies in STEM education including 3 component clusters and 7 competency components and 18 behavioral manifestations. Finally, the structural framework for modeling competencies in STEM education was conducted to seek expert consensus through two Delphi rounds. The built framework of modeling capacity in STEM education will be the basis for evaluating the development and fostering of modeling capacity in STEM lessons.
