INVESTIGATION OF THE CURRENT ASSESSMENT MANAGEMENT OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN NINH KIEU DISTRICT, CAN THO CITY

Abstract
Testing and evaluating student learning outcomes helps adjust the educational process, contributing to improve the quality of teaching. Management of inspection and evaluation activities is shown in planning management, organizing implementation, directing implementation, inspection and evaluation. This article uses the method of collecting information by questionnaire and surveying 150 subjects including: 104 homeroom teachers, 12 administrators, 34 subject teachers at primary schools in Ninh Kieu district. The results show the importance and current status management’s testing and assessment activities of students in primary schools in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city, performing at "Average" to "Good" levels. However, there is still a significant number of subjects who rate some contents in the inspection and evaluation stage of management activities at an unsatisfactory level, accounting for 22%. The results of studying the current situation of the topic contribute to creating a basis for proposing measures to improve the management of testing activities to assess the learning outcomes of students in primary schools in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city according to the 2018 general education program.
