LEARNING OUTCOMES OF PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN OF FAMILIES OF MIGRANT WORKERS TO INDUSTRIAL ZONES AND SOME EXTERNAL INFLUENCING FACTORS – A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH RESULT

Vietnam is seeing more and more industrial parks and export processing zones opening up, bringing many workers with their families and children to live and work. This study was conducted to clarify the current status of learning outcomes and some factors affecting students who migrate with their parents to industrial zones. Using qualitative research methods (in-depth interviews, group discussions, seminars...), this study hopes to find out the difficulties that students in the target group of workers' children are facing. The results show that children need to make more efforts than non-migrant children; Participate less in classroom learning activities and extracurricular activities... This is affected by many factors such as cultural, linguistic, and ethnic characteristics; support from family or from state policy. Therefore, the measures proposed by the research team include solutions from managers and especially from families. The research results can open up a number of new research directions such as children's learning ability, equity in social access to education...
