Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the handling of land-related complaints and denunciations in Cao Bang city during the 2018–2022 period and to propose measures to improve land management and policymaking. We first collected secondary data from the local government and relevant agencies. We then compiled and statistically processed it annually, and compared the city’s results with those from other districts in Cao Bang province. Data analysis shows that most complaints and denunciations were related to land acquisition, compensation, and land management. A total of 241 complaints and denunciations were received, with 136 concerning land issues, accounting for 81.43%. The number of cases increased yearly and were mainly resolved through mediation and administrative measures, achieving a resolving rate of 88% to 100%. This process has contributed to stabilizing the city’s political and social situation, while also promoting economic development. However, improving the policy and legal framework particularly for complaints and denunciations, as well as enhancing efficiency and transparency in handling them, will be crucial to safeguarding citizens’ rights and strengthening public trust in government agencies.
