RESEARCH PROPOSAL ON MANAGEMENT MEASURES TO ENSURE REGULAR STUDENTS GRADUATE ON SCHEDULE ACCORDING TO THE TRAINING PROGRAM AT TNU - UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE

Abstract

This study aims to systematically assess the graduation status of regular students from the 2023–2024 academic year, specifically for cohorts K13, K14, K15, K16, K17, and K18 at the TNU - University of Sciences, to provide a comprehensive overview of the graduation situation across various academic programs. Based on an analysis of the goals, program content, and a set of indicators related to graduating students, the research identifies 61 indicators relevant to student graduation. These indicators are organized into five categories: individual factors, teaching activities, institutional factors, academic performance evaluation, and family and social factors. The research team utilized quantitative research methods, literature review, and survey methods. Results from a survey conducted with 495 students in September 2024 show that the overall delayed graduation rate for the TNU - University of Sciences in 2024 is as follows: 12.5% for K13, 16.4% for K14, 13.1% for K15, 17.4% for K16, 13.7% for K17, and 26.7% for K18. Based on these findings, the study suggests that the university should enhance specialized knowledge, emphasize soft skill development, and focus on program specificity for each discipline. The most essential measure is a coordinated approach to supporting students, with a particular emphasis on the role of the university through homeroom teachers, academic advisors, and school organizations.
