Most non-English major pre-intermediate students of Nha Trang University are still incompetent in speaking skills and they cannot speak a complete sentence. In order to improve speaking skills and oral mid-term test results, 104 experimental students were divided into pairs and make 5 videos on Flipgrid in one semester to practice their speaking skills. This paper aims to discover the non-English major students’ attitudes about using Flipgrid to practice Speaking skills and to study whether Flipgrid can improve speaking skills. The population were 104 non-English freshmen and sophomores at pre-intermediate level from various majors. Both the qualitative methods (personal interviews) and quantitative methods (online surveys, mid-term test result comparison) were utilized. The results were that Flipgrid improved the non-English major students’ speaking skills, pronunciation, grammar, content and their confidence in speaking English. Moreover, Flipgrid also enhanced other soft skills of non-English major students such as pair-working and using information technology.
