Abstract

Digital transformation has become an essential trend in higher education, especially for part-time programs designed to meet the flexible learning needs of working individuals. This paper investigates the current state of digital adoption in part-time training at Dong Thap University and proposes improvement strategies aligned with the institution’s specific context. The study applies both qualitative and quantitative educational research methods, including surveys of lecturers and learners, data analysis, and contextual evaluation. Findings reveal that although the university has invested in infrastructure and initial digital systems, the implementation of digital transformation remains inconsistent, with limited effectiveness - particularly in areas such as academic organization and administrative management. Based on these findings, the paper offers recommendations such as developing diverse digital learning resources, enhancing digital competencies for stakeholders, improving online assessment systems, and refining supportive policies. These proposals are not only practical for Dong Thap University but may also serve as a reference for similar institutions within the Vietnamese higher education system.
