Abstract

This article focuses on studying the manifestations of the original culture in the poetry of Truong Trong Nghia, a young poet of the Mekong Delta. We mainly use the literary approach from the cultural perspective and the poetic approach, based on the survey of poetic texts. One of the most distinctive features of his poetry is the strong awareness of original culture. This is expressed in a simple yet profound way through many emotional verses that evoke vivid and meaningful associations for readers - through the landscapes, the people of the countryside, and his use of folk cultural elements in his poems. These expressions contribute to the unique character of his poetry, infusing it with a deep and heartfelt sense of homeland. At the same time, they also serve as a message about the importance of awareness, appreciation, and preservation of cultural heritage that the poet wishes to convey to his readers. Researching the original culture in Truong Trong Nghia's poetry not only helps clarify the uniqueness of his poetry but also contributes to identifying the literary value of the Mekong Delta in the 21st century.
