SOME ISSUES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF LEARNING MATERIALS FOR LITERATURE IN THE LOCAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM AT THE LOWER SECONDARY LEVEL IN THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINOUS PROVINCES

Abstract
In modern education, the development of learning materials is a crucial factor in achieving school education objectives. Particularly in the context of the ongoing educational reform in Vietnam, learning materials have become even more essential as curricula undergo changes. This paper examines research on learning materials, their role in general education, and their significance in teaching Literature within the local education curriculum at the lower secondary level in the northern mountainous provinces of Vietnam. Our study indicates that the development of learning materials plays a vital role in achieving school education objectives and should be systematically researched and explored. Therefore, research on learning material development can enhance teaching quality and foster innovative pedagogical approaches. The development of learning materials has received significant attention globally, regionally, and within Vietnam.. However, the development of learning materials specifically for teaching Literature within the local education curriculum at the lower secondary level in the northern mountainous provinces has not been extensively studied. This issue warrants further research, especially in the current context, as local education has become a mandatory subject at all levels of general education.
