Abstract
Language development education is an important areas of the preschool education program. Although the task of language development is carried out with many different contents, the development of coherent speech is considered the ultimate goal in the process of perfecting children's speech. Researching and proposing measures to develop coherent speech for children is both theoretically meaningful and suitable for the requirements of practice. In this article, on the basis of proposing some measures to develop coherent speech for 5-6-year-old preschool children through storytelling activities, we evaluated the effectiveness of the proposed measures. The main methods used are experimental and mathematical statistics method. The measure testing process helped children's coherent speech to be better. After the experiment, the level of coherent speech development of children in the experimental group was much better than that of the control group, and the difference in the level of coherent speech development of children before and after the experiment was statistically significant. The test results also demonstrated that the flexible application of these measures can help children's language and speech become more complete.
