MOTIVATING THE INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATION OF SCOPUS/WOS FOR UNIVERSITY LECTURERS IN VIETNAM TODAY

Abstract

Scientific research is one of the important tasks of lecturers at higher education institutions. Internationally published scientific research works indexed in Scopus/WoS journals are one of the important bases for evaluating the duties of lecturers according to regulations, are the criteria for the State Council of Professors to consider and recognize meeting the standards of Associate Professor and Professor titles annually, and are the criteria for ranking universities in the domestic, regional and international higher education system. The article uses statistical, descriptive, synthetic, and logical-historical research methods to study the motivation for Scopus/WoS international publication for university lecturers in Vietnam today. Within the scope of research, the article clarifies a number of theoretical issues, analyzes the current situation and proposes some basic solutions to create motivation for Scopus/Wos international publication for university lecturers in Vietnam today, contributing to raising the position of higher education institutions in Vietnam today in the regional and international scope.
